The Freestyle Pro Premium Palm Supports are designed to provide superior palm support for the Freestyle Pro and Edge keyboards manufactured by Kinesis. The palm supports attach directly to the keyboard modules, ensuring that they remain in ideal position regardless of the module placement. The included replaceable palm pads feature 3/8" thick foam padding that elevates the hands to best match the keycap heights on these keyboards. The pads feature a supple leather-like cover that is non-porous, sweat resistant, and hand-washable.

If there is a possibility or consideration that "tenting" of the keyboard modules may be desirable at some point in the future the Freestyle Pro VIP3 Premium Accessory Kit should be considered. This Accessory Kit includes the palm supports with premium pads as well as the lifters required to achieve the 5°, 10° and 15° tenting.

The Posturite Keyboard Rest supplies forearm support in environments where appropriate support is either absent or insufficient. With the forearms resting on the Keyboard Rest, the smaller muscles of the upper back and shoulders no longer have to bear the weight, helping to reduce fatigue, inflammation, and pain in these muscle groups. This can be especially beneficial for those working at sit-stand desks where the absence of traditional chair armrests can become more noticeable. Featuring a curved symmetrical design that accommodates both left- and right-handed individuals equally well, the rest can also assist in reducing the risk of wrist extension by serving as a functional palm support.

This 9" deep by 22.5" wide support is comfortably padded to reduce the potential for pressure points on the forearms and is covered in easily-cleaned soft leatherette. Equipped with a convenient clamp-free mounting system (designed for use on desk tops up to 1.375" thick) the Posturite Keyboard Rest can be easily repositioned as needed or fully removed. The Posturite Keyboard Rest should be used with keyboards that have a straight and minimal housing at the front. This avoids the risk of overreaching and shoulder strain that would occur if a keyboard with an integrated palm support were to be used.

Caution: The Posturite Keyboard Rest elevates the forearms up to .75" over the desk height. Be sure to take this measurement into consideration when establishing the correct height for a seat, or when adjusting the height of a sit-stand desk.

The Freestyle V3 Pro Accessory Kit adds a tenting option of 5°, 10°, or 15° to the Freestyle Pro Keyboard. These configurations reduce pronation, allowing the user to move from a palms down typing posture to one where the underside of the palms are now slightly facing one another. This can significantly reduce the risk of fatigue, stiffness and pain in the wrists and forearms.

The Freestyle V3 Pro Accessory Kit Does Not include Palm Supports. If both Tenting and Palm Supports are desired the Freestyle VIP3 Pro Accessory Kit should be purchased.

The Advantage Palm Pads Accessory Kit are replacement Palm Pads for the Advantage2 Contoured Keyboards and their predecessors (Essential/Classic/Professional/Advantage/Advantage Pro Keyboards). The pads are approximately 0.25" thick, made of closed cell foam with a gel-like feel and covered with a smooth Lycra fabric. The pads can be removed easily when replacements are needed.

Note: One pair of Palm Pads is included with the purchase of an Advantage2 Contoured Keyboard.

The USB to PS/2 Keyboard Adapter from Key Ovation is designed to permit the use of a basic USB keyboard on PS/2 equipped computers. It is suited for accommodating data input on legacy computing devices that are not equipped with USB ports or which have no free USB ports available (but still have a PS/2 keyboard port). This adapter is designed to be used with keyboards that are both USB and PS/2 compliant. Basic USB keyboards, as long as they are "plug and play" and do not incorporate other devices such as touchpads, should provide basic functionality. Due to line voltage variance specialty devices will most likely NOT function.

The USB to PS/2 Keyboard Adapter should also work with basic Plug-and-Play Mice.

The Kinesis Lift Kit provides tenting options of 5°, 10° or 15° for the Freestyle Edge Mechanical Keyboards. Attaching the palm supports that are included with the Freestyle Edge keyboards and installing this Lift Kit accessory greatly enhances the ergonomics of the Freestyle Edge Keyboards. Tenting the keyboard halves outward reduces pronation of the forearm and wrists, resulting in improved ergonomics while typing, and because the palm supports and keyboard move in tandem as the keyboard is adjusted to the desired tenting angle, wrist extension is also addressed. Combined, these two factors are highly effective at reducing the risk of fatigue, stiffness and pain in the wrists, forearms and elbows. If desired the V-Lifters can be removed independently, without removing the Palm Supports.

If there is a desire to tent the keyboard halves but without palm supports attached the Freestyle V3 Pro Accessory Kit is available to tent just the keyboard (without attached palm supports) to the same 5°, 10° or 15° angles.

The Freestyle2 Ascent Accessory Kit is a specialized accessory for the Freestyle2 Keyboard. The Freestyle2 Keyboard with Ascent accessory is an option for those who prefer or are unable to pronate (i.e. who cannot hold their hands in a "palms down" position without discomfort or pain). The Ascent Accessory allows the left and right modules of the Freestyle2 Keyboard to be tented independently of each other, in 10° increments from 20° to 90°. This provides a solution for those who require a keyboard tenting angle greater than the 15° offered by the V3 and VIP3 accessories.

Individuals who choose this solution must be touch typists (as they will be unable to see the keys). It is also strongly recommended that the arms be supported while typing to avoid straining the muscles, tendons and ligaments in the shoulders and upper back. Arm support is especially important at higher degrees of elevation, 40° and over.

The Ascent Accessory can be used with Freestyle2 Palm Supports (sold separately) at angles up to 40°. At higher elevations alternative types of arm support become necessary.

While the standard 9" separation will work for those who are using the Ascent at the lesser angles, the 20" separation model of the Freestyle2 is typically recommended for use with the Ascent accessory. The greater cable length offers much greater flexibility in positioning of the modules, especially if greater angles of tenting are desired.

The Ascent Accessory modules can be positioned completely independent of each other for the broadest range of positioning. If increased stability is desired the included width-adjustable linking plate can be utilized. The metal plate adds rigidity as well as increased mass to ensure keyboard stability, even at the greatest angles.
Note: The Ascent Accessory is compatible with the Freestyle Solo, the Freestyle2 Keyboard for PC, and the Freestyle2 Keyboard for Mac.

The 3M Gel Wrist Rest Platform for Keyboard is designed for those who want to reduce wrist extension (i.e. an upward bend at the hand) with its associated risk of injury to the wrist and forearms. This often occurs when working with a conventional keyboard at a seated or standing workstation. The platform is placed directly on the desk surface to provide a base for the keyboard. The gel wrist rest is secured to the platform in front of the keyboard, providing support beneath the heel of the hands to keep the forearms, wrists and hands in comfortable alignment when typing.

Two sets of optional rubber feet are included, and can be attached to the underside of the platform to create either 5° or 10° of negative tilt for the keyboard to provide further insurance against wrist extension.

At 19.5" wide, the platform and wrist rest accommodate standard keyboards with built-in numeric keypads. The gel-filled wrist rest is 0.25" thick, with leatherette cover. The cover has an embedded anti-microbial treatment that inhibits the growth of bacteria.

The Freestyle Pro Premium Palm Pads are designed to fit the optional plastic palm supports that are available for the Freestyle Pro keyboard. The 3/8″ thick pads feature a layer of cushioning foam for extra comfort when using a Freestyle keyboard and are wrapped in a soft leather-like surface that is non-porous, sweat resistant and hand-washable for maximum comfort, performance, and durability. Included with each set of pads are double-sided velcro tabs for mounting the pads to the Freestyle Pro Palm Supports or those included as part of the the Freestyle VIP3 Pro Accessory Kit.

The Freestyle Pro Premium Palm Pads are the same pads that come with the Freestyle Edge RGB and as such can be purchased to replace worn out pads. They can also be used to upgrade the palm supports included with the original Freestyle Edge (blue backlighting model).

Those who have the Freestyle2 Keyboards can also install these pads but they are slightly thicker than the Freestyle2 Palm Pads. While the Freestyle Pro Premium Palm Pads will still fit the Freestyle2 Palm Supports the pads will extend all the way up to the tops of the keys.

Note: Installation of the Freestyle Pro Premium Palm Pads requires that the keyboard either already be equipped with Palm Support Accessories or a compatible accessory that includes palm supports must be purchased.
