The Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 is designed to assist users to achieve a more neutral and natural posture while doing data entry. The design orients keys at varying angles, from a maximum 14° tent in the middle to a traditional "flat" or 0° by the time the outer alpha keys are reached. The left and right key groups are also splayed slightly outward to encourage a nominally more neutral alignment of the wrists. The control housed between the splayed keys is for Zoom (not vertical scroll as many may assume). A lightly padded 3" deep leatherette palm rest is permanently affixed to the keyboard.
The minimum key height on this keyboard is 1" off the surface on which the keyboard is placed (2" on the keys in the middle of the keyboard). This elevation may require users to either raise their seats to accommodate the height of the keyboard or to use a keyboard tray to lower their keyboard into their lap. The keyboard also includes a detachable palm lift that raises the front to create a 7° negative slope intended to encourage better wrist alignment. Use of this lifter may require further adjustments of seat or keyboard tray height because it adds another full inch of elevation to the middle of the keyboard and increases the risk of a "pinch point" being created on the underside of the wrists.
This keyboard is available in two models, a standard US English model and a Unilingual French Canadian model
Please Note:Activation of the spacebar on the Microsoft Natural Ergo Keyboard 4000 may feel somewhat stiff or "sticky". If the spacebar is pressed at one edge, the resistance is noticeably higher than when pressing it in the middle - this is not a warranty related issue.

The SafeType Vertical Keyboard is a fixed vertical split keyboard that eliminates both pronation of the forearms as well as wrist extension. The innovative design orients the hands in a neutral "handshake" position" which greatly reduces the potential for common issues associated with repetitive use of traditional "flat" keyboards. With pronation eliminated issues such as tennis elbow are largely addressed.
By orienting the primary alphanumeric keys vertically the potential for users to be affected by wrist extension are also greatly reduced. Since the hands remain vertically oriented the majority of the time there is low risk for users to rest the heel of their hand on the work surface.
Due to the unique vertical layout of the SafeType Vertical Keyboard this product is only recommended for users who are competent touch typists. Convenient mirrors provide assistance when needing to access less common upper rank numerics or the function keys (legends are printed in reverse on these keys so they present correctly in the mirrors).
The vertical design of the SafeType Keyboard means gravity will pull the hands down if they are not sufficiently supported. For that reason users should create a workspace equipped with appropriate arm rests that will support the hands in a neutral elevation. With a well-designed workstation layout users are able to relax their shoulders and arms, permitting the fingers to be activated with minimal stress. With relaxed shoulders and arms users are able to complete data entry for longer periods than would be possible using more traditional keyboard formats.

The Sculpt Comfort Keyboard from Microsoft is very similar to the Comfort Curve 3000 Keyboard but is wireless. The shape of the Sculpt Comfort has a higher degree of tenting, which helps keep your wrists and forearms in a more natural posture. This higher degree of tenting shortens the actual footprint of the keyboard by 3/4" compared to the Comfort Curve 3000. All keys are the same size, with easy-to-access media keys for music and videos (these keys have moved from above the numeric keypad on the Comfort Curve to the F1-F4 keys on the Sculpt Comfort). There is also a split spacebar with backspace functionality, detachable cushioned palm rests, and two legs in the front (rather than the back on most keyboards) to give a negative incline.

La forme du Sculpt Comfort a un degré de tente plus haute, qui en fait, aide aux poignets et aux avans bras d'être dans une position plus naturelle.
