The n-ABLER Joystick from Pretorian is specifically designed to address the needs of computer users with limited hand control, motor skill difficulties, poor hand-eye coordination, lack of manual dexterity, and muscle spasms. This functionality is packaged in a heavy duty housing designed to survive heavy use. High contrast coloured buttons and control surfaces assist users in determining position and function of the controls.
The n-ABLER Joystick provides cursor control as well as single-click controls for left click, right click, double click, and drag lock functions. In addition the n-Abler Joystick also offers a "Locking Axis" function which locks the cursor to either vertical or horizontal movement, addressing the difficulty of cursor control for users who experience tremors or may struggle with fine motor control.
Cursor control on the n-ABLER Joystick is provided by a joystick control which can be equipped for the individual needs of a user. Included are a standard joystick, a T-Bar handle, and a soft-grip ball. Dual mini-phono jacks also permit the attachment of a variety of external switches to provide users with easier access to the Left and Right click functions. Users who find the traditional orientation unsuitable have the option of 'teaching' the trackball to orient itself at 90° increments, freeing the user to change the housing orientation for optimum usage and comfort. The n-ABLER Joystick also offers an optional buzzer setting which provides notification as specific functions are activated or deactivated.
The design of the n-ABLER Joystick offers precision control and requires only minimal hand movement. This can reduce wrist and elbow fatigue, as it requires noticeably less effort. The symmetrical design enables users to work with either hand without having to angle the wrist, and the unit can also be configured for 'left-handed' operation. Its large, integrated hand support/palm rest makes work posture more relaxed and less strained.
Note: The release of iOS13 for Apple portable devices included support for USB Pointing Devices. This means that virtually all of the Pretorian Mouse Replacement solutions can now be used with iPads and iPhones that have iOS13 or newer. Connection to the portable device requires a camera adapter cable. Because the mousing device will be powered by the phone or tablet it is preferable to use one with pass-through charging so the portable device can charge while the mousing device is attached and in use.

Cursor control on the n-ABLER Trackball is provided by a large 63 mm, free-running ball which responds to minimal effort. To avoid accidental movement the trackball projects only slightly above the housing, with the activation buttons fully recessed to avoid accidental activation as well as to aid users in button targeting. The Orbitrack Control Ring from Pretorian provides users who have very limited range of movement or strength with a simple, almost effortless, means to perform cursor movement and click control.
The Orbitrack employs a touch-activated surface similar to a touchpad but without the necessity of continuous finger movement to 'steer' the cursor.Cursor direction is determined by where a finger is placed in relation to a central point in the touch ring. Once contact is made the cursor will begin slowly moving in the desired direction, gradually increasing the selected maximum rate of speed (4 selectable speed options are available). The cursor will continue to travel as long as the finger remains in contact - no further movement is required until a change of direction is desired. Direction change is accomplished by moving the finger to a new location on the control ring. This can be accomplished by breaking contact with the control ring surface and repositioning the finger to steer the cursor in the new direction or by sliding the finger to the new location. Users will vary in their ability to use the second option and may opt for the first method until they learn to better control the movement.
Requiring no hand or wrist movement, the Orbitrack represents a significant advance in computer input technology and is suitable for all computer users, particularly children and those with motor skill difficulties and movement impairment.

The Optima Trackball from Pretorian is a durable desktop trackball designed with the requirements of users with limited motor skills in mind, yet totally suitable for use by a wide range of users. The angled housing provides an ergonomically supportive position for the hand by providing a place to rest during use.
The large 2" diameter trackball rises 0.7" above the trackball housing, presenting a significant profile for the hand to make contact with. The free-running trackball is securely mounted in the housing and offers smooth movement from even a light touch. Tracking is provided by an optical sensor which eliminates mechanical parts which can fail from wear while still offering precise tracking and cursor control.
Colour-coded and recessed control buttons for Left Click, Right Click, and Drag-Lock are positioned above the trackball. The recessed location assists users in guiding their fingers to the appropriate buttons as well as preventing accidental activation that could occur with flush or raised buttons. In addition, the Optima is also equipped with dual ports which accommodate the attachment of external switches for activation of the left and right click functions. These can be used to offer users with limited motor control alternative methods of clicking.

The JAZZ Joystick from Pretorian was designed to address the needs of those who may lack fine motor skills. It can provide standard cursor control as well as switch scanning access. Unlike most other joysticks, the JAZZ is designed to specifically accommodate gross motor movements while providing accurate cursor control and switch scanning. Because the high-quality analogue joystick requires just 0.5 newtons of force to activate it is able to also serve the needs of individuals who also have limited strength in addition to reduced fine motor skills.
The Jazz Joystick has buttons for left click, right click (or double click), and drag lock functions. Dual mini-phono jacks also permit the attachment of external switches to provide easier access to the Left click function and for switching from Mouse Mode to Switch Scanning Mode. Differing needs can be met by changing the control surface between the included standard joystick, t-bar handle, or soft-grip ball. The Jazz can also be easily switched for left-handed operation which swaps the functions of the left and right buttons.
The enhanced cursor control is achieved by only permitting cursor movement to occur when the joystick is moved within a prescribed range of the horizontal and vertical axes (Standard Mode) or standard and diagonal axes (Diagonal Mode). Cursor activation is accompanied by an audible "click" (optional) to provide notification that movement has been achieved. Under standard operation the cursor begins movement slowly, accelerating to the selected maximum speed (4 available). When engaged the optional SmartTrack function modifies this behaviour by considering how long the cursor has been idle, providing more effective cursor control for those who are able to take advantage of this function.
The JAZZ Joystick features a durable heavy duty housing designed to survive heavy use. High contrast coloured buttons and control surfaces aid in determining position and function of the controls. The symmetrical design enables works equally well with either hand without having to angle the wrist. The large, integrated hand support/palm rest makes work posture more relaxed and less strained.

The BLUELINE Joystick from Pretorian is a technology-access device that connects via Bluetooth to any Apple devices with iOS13.4.1 onwards, Android devices, or other computing devices that have Bluetooth support, either internally or via an add-on bluetooth receiver dongle. The USB-rechargeable battery can provide up to 15 hours of continuous use. The BLUELINE Joystick is designed for those who may have limited hand control or strength, motor skill difficulties, poor hand-eye coordination, and lack of manual dexterity and offers excellent cursor control as well as up to 5 programmable button functions (3 on-board, 2 optional external). This functionality is packaged in a sturdy housing designed to survive under heavy use. The three on-board activation buttons are coloured and recessed to help guide the fingers into position. The symmetrical design makes this joystick suited for use with either hand by simply reprogramming the on-board switch configuration with the raised body providing support for the wrist.
The design of the BLUELINE Joystick offers precision control and requires minimal hand movement and just 0.5 Newtons of force to initiate cursor movement. The cursor moves very slowly when the joystick is minimally displaced from centre, permitting extremely accurate cursor positioning. As the displacement is increased the cursor accelerates to the chosen maximum speed (4 settings available). The adjustable maximum cursor speed also lets the BLUELINE Joystick be configured to serve the needs of those who may have limitations related to fine motor control, with the lowest cursor speed offering a greater level of control in that application. The joystick ships with the standard joystick, a T-Bar handle, or a soft-grip ball for configuration to meet personal requirements.
Three on-board buttons provide basic functions (primary functions vary with device) but are also custom programmable to perform a wide range of optional functions. The middle button is a lighter shade than the left and right buttons for easier identification. Dual mini-phono jacks also permit the attachment of external switches that can also be programmed. Available commands include Left Click, Right Click, Middle Click, Drag, Double Click, Delayed Drag, Swipe Left, and Swipe Right. Additional features and customization are also available. For full details on the available functions, customization of commands, and setup of the BLUELINE Joystick please read the User Manual.
