The Slimline Wedge from Posturite is designed to provide a slight elevation to the hips, tilting the pelvis forward and moving the spine into a correct alignment. The wedge offers a 6° slant, intended to meet the needs of those who require a marginal improvement in angle. Suitable for use on most chairs or seats, the Slimline Wedge is comprised of a firm polyurethane foam and has a hard-wearing velour cover which can be easily removed for washing. The slim design of this wedge (2" at back, 0.75" at front) also makes it a good choice for use in vehicles where headroom may be limited, making thicker cushions impractical.

Encourages Better Posture The wedge shape creates a slight forward "rotation" or "tilt" of the pelvis. This aids in restoring the natural "S-Curve" necessary to proper spinal posture. The result of this action is that the head and neck will be better supported by the spine, rather than relying on the muscles of the back to hold them in position. This can be especially beneficial on seats which have too much of a downward slope (common in vehicles) that can force the back into an unnatural forward bend.
