The DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform from Posturite can be used to convert almost any standard fixed-height desk into a sit-stand desk. The DeskRite 100 lifts directly out of the box and onto the desk and in seconds the conversion is complete. There is generally no need to modify the existing desk space with the possible exception of overhead cabinets. The DeskRite 100 offers keyboard height adjustment from 0.6" to 15.6" above the mounting surface height - with a total of 40 increments to choose from. The upper work surface is positioned 4" higher than the keyboard tray and moves in concert with the height adjustment. Monitors can be placed directly on the work surface or monitor arms may be mounted to offer a greater range of adjustment.
The DeskRite 100 has two unique features not commonly available in other similar products. The first is that the lifting tension is adjustable via dual front-mounted dials. This means operators are able to fine tune the lifting capacity to match the weight of the documents and peripherals that are in use. For example, if they happen to have a heavy binder on the surface they can increase the tension to ensure that it requires minimal effort to raise the worksurface. The second feature is a sliding keyboard tray that stores back into the unit when not in use. This feature ensures a greater stability for the DeskRite 100 than other solutions which cantilever up and out from the desk when raised for standing. In the case of the DeskRite 100 only the tray moves out, leaving the main unit safely centered on the desk. It is also an alternative to those solutions which, although they do not cantilever outwards, have a keyboard that is fixed and therefore always extends out from the desk.
The maximum lifting capacity for the DeskRite 100 is 40 pounds, easily sufficient for any standard office application, even with multiple monitors mounted. The 35" x 24" upper worksurface offers plenty of space for documents and the 26" x 11" keyboard tray will accommodate most standard keyboard and mouse combinations. |
Ergonomic Benefits |

Reduces the Risks Associated with Extended Sitting Studies have shown that sitting (and even standing) for prolonged periods of time is a risk factor for health. For those who work at stationary workstations, a desk that gives the user the option to sit and stand throughout the day will help break up those prolonged periods of unhealthy stationary work. The DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform allows the user to adjust the height of the workstation to accommodate both sitting and standing positions whenever desired.
Effortless Height Adjustment The DeskRite 100 offers 40 keyboard height settings ranging from 0.6 - 15.6" above the mounting surface. The Adjustable Tension feature lets individuals fine tune the lifting capacity to minimize the effort required when moving from sitting to standing. The large number of height settings (40) means precise worksurface height adjustments can be made to find the most suitable height for the desired workstation configuration (sitting, standing, or anything in-between).
Reduces the Risks Associated with Overreaching The DeskRite 100 features a large 35" x 24" working area with plenty of real estate for up to two monitors and other office devices such as calculators, phones, and tablets. Learn More About the Comfort Zone.

- Free Standing (No Drilling or Clamping): The DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform is ideal for situations where drilling into the desk or clamping onto its edge are undesirable. The footprint of the base allows the unit to be positioned on a desk top without creating a tipping hazard. Pads underneath the base prevent scuffing or scratching of the desktop.
- Pre-Assembled: The DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform lifts directly from packaging to desktop - no assembly is required.
- Multiple Monitor Mounting Options: The 35" wide worksurface provides enough space to support two average size monitors (with stands attached). Left, Right and Centre thru-mount options are included for attachment of monitor arms and the worksurface also has sufficient thickness to accommodate clamp mounting.
Note: The weight of additional mounting solutions should be taken into consideration when determining the overall weight load being placed upon the DeskRite 100. - Adjustable Lifting Tension: The DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform features dual front-mounted tension controls that lets individuals set the lifting tension to best match the weight load placed on their DeskRite.
- X-Style Vertical Motion: Many retrofit desktop units employ a cantilevering mechanism that moves the worksurface forward as it is raised. This motion pushes one back from the desk and reduces the stability of the unit as it rises. The DeskRite 100 uses an X-Style mechanism which moves the worksurface straight up vertically, preventing the issues above from occurring.
- Pull-Out Keyboard Tray: The Keyboard Tray on the DeskRite 100 can be stored into the unit or drawn 4" out from the desk. This unique feature allows for customizing of viewing distance from the monitor(s) as well as optimizing space in tight workspaces.
- 40 Height-Adjustment Settings: The DeskRite 100 has an impressive 40 height settings, enough for each person to find that "ideal" keyboard height while standing or leaning.

Usage Tips |
---|
- To raise or lower the DeskRite 100 Sit-Stand Platform, simultaneously squeeze the release paddles on both sides. With the paddles squeezed, raise or lower the work surface to the desired height and then release the paddles to engage the locking mechanism. The unit will then lock into place at the next highest position.
- Use the Tension Control Dials to customize the lifting capacity to best match the load in place on the DeskRite surface. Leaving the tension set too high will require extra effort when lowering and if the tension is set too low you will need to "lift" the surface when moving to standing, rather than employing the springs to do the lifting for you.
- Move between standing and sitting on a regular basis. If you are just starting out with a sit-stand desk, maintain yourself in the standing position for brief intervals - don't try to stand for extended periods until your body has adjusted and become comfortable.
- If you find standing tiring, consider purchasing a quality anti-fatigue mat which can significantly increase your comfort by enabling your feet and legs to shift slightly while you work.
- Consider a "leaning" style of seat rather than going back to the standard office chair. Using a seat such as this can ease the load on the feet and legs while still providing most of the benefits of the fully upright standing posture.
- Ensure that your monitors are positioned at an appropriate height. A good guideline is to keep the top edge of the monitor equal to or slightly higher than your eye height. This will encourage an upright posture which keeps the head properly balanced and supported by the spine.
