- Set the footrest to the range that offers you the most optimum position for your feet. You want to have your feet supported so that there is no pressure against the back of your thighs at the front of your seat. However, also be sure not to have the footrest set too high as you do not want your knees too high. When sitting with your feet comfortably positioned on the footrest the angle of your torso to the thighs should be approximately 90° or slightly greater.
