The Relaxing Footrest from Aidata has several design features that distinguish it from many other footrests currently available. The large (17.7" W x 13.0" D) platform includes "acupressure bumps" that can be used to gently massage the feet, obviously when not wearing footwear. This platform is height adjustable to one of 3 height settings - 4.5", 5.8", and 6.3", and is also free floating at each height setting, accommodating the desired angle at the ankle - either positive or negative. This foot rest features robust construction with both the base and footplate having extensive structural reinforcement and the non-skid pads on the base ensure secure positioning.
Note: As the platform adjusts freely throughout the available range and cannot be fixed at a specific angle, the Relaxing Footrest is considered a "non-locking" foot rest. | Ergonomic Benefits |

Three Angle Adjustments The Relaxing Footrest offers 3 ranges of angle adjustment (± 20°, ±25°, ±33°) - with the range of movement increasing as the height is increased. Movement is unrestricted at all times, permitting each person to find the most comfortable position for the ankles and feet.
Increased Blood Flow and Circulation The presence of a freely moving platform encourages foot and lower leg movement throughout the day rather than maintaining a static position. This movement stimulates circulation in both the feet and legs which can help to reduce the risk of blood clots and varicose veins.
Reduces Strain on the Foot and Ankle Many office workers sit with one foot forward of the other, putting the foot into a position called plantar flexion. Over time, sustained plantar flexion can cause the calf muscles to become tight and stiff which, in turn, can lead to a range of uncomfortable symptoms in the foot. The non-locking platform on Relaxing Footrest encourages regular flexing of the ankles. This healthy movement can reduce strain caused by sustained plantar flexion, or sustained dorsiflexion.
Improves Upper Body Posture The Relaxing Footrest provides a stable and supportive surface that encourages correct utilization of chair backrests. Rather than "perching" on the front edge of a seat, the placement of the feet encourages individuals to sit back and benefit from the supportive structure of the backrest. This improved posture can reduce undue stress on both the lower and upper back as well as the shoulders and decrease the risk of developing neck pain.
Can Reduce Potential Pressure Points and Restriction of Circulation Those of shorter stature often have their chair elevated in order to achieve appropriate positioning at the desk. This can leave their legs "dangling" which can result in pressure against the back of the thighs, potentially restricting circulation. The Relaxing Footrest offers settings of 4.5", 5.7" & 6.3", generally sufficient enough to reduce or even eliminate these pressure points - encouraging unimpeded circulation.

- Textured, Comfort Surface: Raised "acupressure" bumps on the Relaxing Footrest can massage and relieve tension in the feet and body (when used without footwear).
- Three Platform Angle Adjustment Ranges: The Relaxing Footrest offers three ranges of angle adjustment, increasing with the height setting: ± 20°, ±25°, ±33°.
- Non-Locking, Tilting Platform: The platform shifts freely throughout the available range (range varies with the height setting). This encourages movement at the ankles and promotes circulation throughout the work day.
- Sturdy Design: The Relaxing Footrest is constructed from durable, high strength ABS plastic and steel for strength and durability.
- Anti-Slip Feet: Rubber feet ensure the Relaxing Footrest stays in place without sliding.

| Usage Tips |

- Position your chair to the appropriate height prior to adjusting your foot rest. This will ensure that you are able to properly access your worksurface. Once your seating height is selected, then adjust the foot rest to a height which positions your knees slightly below your hips. The height should be sufficient to ensure that there are no pressure points against the back of the thighs at the edge of your seat.
- Once your foot rest is correctly positioned make a point of sitting back in your chair and letting the backrest provide your back with the appropriate support. Not only is this good for the health of your back - it will also be more restful and has the potential to significantly reduce the risk of developing lower back pain due to poor posture. It may well also result in a more relaxed back, neck and shoulders with an accompanying reduction in end-of-day fatigue.
- After your chair and foot rest are correctly positioned ensure that appropriate adjustments are made to your monitor height. If you move from a "perching" posture to sitting back in your chair with correct upright posture you will most likely need to elevate your monitor since your head will be elevated and your line of sight will naturally follow suit.
- Take advantage of the "acupressure" bumps on the foot platform. If you are comfortable working without footwear you may well find that the bumps can provide a degree of comfortable stimulation for the soles of your feet. Some people find that stimulating the nerves in the feet triggers an energizing effect.
- Flex your ankles and feet by taking advantage of the freely tilting platform. This encourages circulation in the feet and lower legs and may aid in reducing some of the health risks associated with static sitting.
